Sometimes you just need some tunes to brighten your next run.
Like it or hate it for your everyday music listening, EDM (or Electronic Dance Music) can pump up just about anybody for a high intensity workout. Some people prefer lyrics, some prefer without lyrics. I prefer background beats so I can focus on the running commentary going on in my head–it’s where I do my best thinking. Unfortunately I never have the good sense to write anything down afterward.
I chose this song by Swedish House Mafia because it has a lower BPM and and longer run time – nearly seven minutes. Though EDM music may be useful for pushing yourself hard, it’s sacrilege to stop and walk when the bass is about to drop. The BPM makes running through the length of the song manageable for beginner runners.
